सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दरभंगा के ऐतिहासिक तालाबों पर अतिक्रमण मामले में बिहार सरकार से जवाब मांगा
एक महत्वपूर्ण जनहित मामले में भारत के माननीय सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बिहार सरकार से दरभंगा शहर के तीन ऐतिहासिक तालाबों — हराही, दिघी और गंगासागर — पर कथित अतिक्रमण, भराई एवं संरक्षण संबंधी मुद्दों पर जवाब मांगा है।
ये जलाशय कई सौ वर्ष पुराने माने जाते हैं और दरभंगा शहर की ऐतिहासिक विरासत, पर्यावरणीय संतुलन तथा सामाजिक जीवन का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा हैं। स्थानीय नागरिकों एवं जनहित से जुड़े पक्षों द्वारा इन तालाबों की सुरक्षा, पुनर्स्थापन एवं संरक्षण की मांग उठाई गई है।
यह मामला माननीय सुप्रीम कोर्ट के समक्ष सुनवाई हेतु प्रस्तुत हुआ, जिसमें श्री कमलेश कुमार मिश्रा, अधिवक्ता, तालाब बचाओ अभियान (TBA) की ओर से उपस्थित हुए।

Supreme Court Seeks Bihar Government’s Response on Encroachment of Darbhanga’s Historic Ponds
In a significant public interest matter, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has sought a response from the Bihar Government regarding allegations of encroachment, filling, and issues concerning the protection of three historic ponds situated in Darbhanga city, Bihar — Harahi, Dighi, and Gangasagar.
