IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES:
- Laptop Requirement:
Selected interns are expected to carry their own laptops during the internship for research, drafting, and documentation purposes. - Organizational Ethos:
Corpus Juris India is committed to the principle of Access to Justice for All, with a special focus on ensuring effective access to the highest forums of justice for the poorest of the poor. We take pride in training the next generation of lawyers to become Advocates of the People, committed to justice, equity, and community service. - Internship Duration:
The minimum duration of the internship is 30 days. Extension beyond this period may be considered based on performance and mutual interest. - Opportunities in Litigation and PILs
We actively encourage interns to explore litigation. Wherever feasible, students may be provided the opportunity to file Public Interest Litigations (PILs) in their own names and present arguments before appropriate forums, under guidance. - Reporting Time and Location:
Interns are expected to report by 9:30 AM sharp at our Jangpura-B Office. Punctuality is essential to maintain professional discipline. - Reimbursement Policy:
Travel or daily commute expenses will not be reimbursed by the organization. Only expenses specifically approved in advance by the advocate or internship coordinator may be reimbursed. All claims must be supported by valid receipts and submitted within a reasonable time. - Internship Policy & Code of Conduct:
Interns will be required to sign an Internship Policy Document at the time of onboarding. This includes detailed provisions on attendance, leave, conduct, certification, onboarding procedures, and reimbursement protocols. - For Further Information, the candidates may contact; Adv. I am writing to express my gratitude to Adv Kamlesh Mishra Sir, for the opportunity at this esteemed platform. My experience here has been incredibly rewarding and enriching, and I am grateful for the chance to contribute to the important work you do in advocating for justice and equality.
During my time here, I have had the opportunity to delve into various aspects of legal advocacy, from researching case studies to drafting legal representations and filing grievances at different portals. I have also had the privilege of learning from the experienced professionals, Adv Renu ma'am, Adv Deepak sir, Adv Fareed sir and Adv. Prem sir, whose guidance and mentorship have been invaluable to me.

Hello my name is Swagata Gupta, I am currently studying in 5th year in KIIT SCHOOL OF LAW. I have done my internship in CORPUS JURIS INDIA for 3months. The internships provided me with invaluable firsthand experience in the legal field and solidified my desire to pursue a career in criminal law
Responsibilities and Key Learnings:
• Legal Research: I extensively researched on criminal law, analyzing case law and legal precedents to support ongoing client cases. This honed my legal research skills and deepened my understanding of criminal justice system.
• Drafting Support: I assisted lawyers in drafting legal documents like writ petitions, bail petitions, appeals and various legal notices. This allowed me to see how legal research translates into practical application and improved my legal writing skills.
• Client Interaction: I had the opportunity to sit in on client consultations and observe how lawyers interacted with clients. This experience was invaluable for learning effective communication strategies and building client relationships.
• Law Firm Operations: Beyond legal tasks, I also gained insights into the daily operations of a law firm. I helped maintain client files, manage deadlines, and assisted with administrative tasks, providing a well-rounded understanding of the legal practice.
Overall Impact:
This internship at CORPUS JURIS INDIA was an enriching experience that solidified my passion for criminal law. The hands-on learning opportunities, coupled with the supportive mentorship of the lawyers specially Kamlesh sir, provided me with a strong foundation for my legal career aspirations. I am confident that the skills and knowledge gained during this internship will be instrumental in my future endeavors.
